SK airplus is expected to create collaborative synergies by combining the EPC solution capabilities of SK ecoplant with the construction and operation of industrial gas manufacturing plants. Given the nature of the business, which involves establishing facilities in industrial complexes or near client locations with concentrated demand, it is possible to integrate and utilize SK ecoplant's diverse plant design and construction capabilities for the production and supply of industrial gases.

Collaboration with SK ecoplant is feasible during the construction of industrial gas facilities for semiconductors at SK airplus, enabling the expansion of new customers through large-scale industrial complex development.

SK airplus

SK airplus was founded in 2007 with its headquarters in Ulsan, Korea, and manufactures and supplies industrial gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, and argon, which are used as essential materials for processes such as semiconductors and petrochemicals, from the air through ASU (Air Separation Unit)
In 2023, we also expanded our portfolio (merging with SK materials-renewtech) to include the capability to produce and supply ultra-pure carbon dioxide gas.

Industrial gases are highly technical and require large-scale facilities to be built in or near the customer's premises to ensure stable supply, and the barriers to entry are very high due to the high level of quality control required.
In addition, we have a stable profit structure and solid growth competitiveness through long-term supply contracts.

Based on stable demand from the petrochemical and refinery industries, SK airplus first started supplying industrial gases for semiconductors in 2017, and continues to respond to new demand from semiconductor customers in Yongin and Cheongju.

Memory Recycling

SK ecoplant is strengthening its leadership in the semiconductor market through its semiconductor module business. Manufactures and sells memory products worldwide, including DRAM memory modules, SSDs, SD cards, and USBs.

In addition to semiconductor module manufacturing, collaborative synergies are anticipated in the semiconductor recycling sector. Recycle memory and storage waste products collected, as well as semiconductor materials such as metals, into high-value products. This will not only enhance cost competitiveness but also expand its stable raw material supply chain, ultimately broadening its product range from PC-centric offerings to a wider array of applications.

Essencore is a Hong Kong-based semiconductor module company that manufactures and sells memory products such as DRAM memory modules and SSDs worldwide.
